Never forget to ventilate your house

Make sure that every room has enough ventilation that lets free flow of air. This is important as less ventilation means less airflow and it can cause health issues and dampness inside the house.

Watch out for pests

It is advised that you check for termites and other pests in your homes vicinity. Call for professional help if you think that pests will cause you trouble in the future.

Taking care of your home during the monsoon asks for great care and being proactive. Every step to safeguard your home from the threat of monsoon has to begin even before the rains. A well-planned effort to take care of your home works better than an ad-hoc plan.

Struggling with decorating small space? Here are some ideas to make it easier.

Have you ever thought that having a small home limits your imagination and creativity from decorating your home? I respectfully disagree. Have you ever heard of the phrase 'small is beautiful' and when it comes to home décor, it is rightly so. If you are out of ideas to make your home look better and beautiful than ever, read on to get some exciting ideas to make your heaven on earth look way better. If you have visited any home furnishing stores, they will help you with many ideas on decorating a small house for sure.

1. Go unconventional and be savvy with your storage

This works great for everyone who wants to decorate their home or room the most unique way with their own signature on it. More often than not, storage space is the biggest problem in a small house. Being a little creative and bold, you can make your home look much better without actually loosing space. Smart storage is the key to saving the space.

2. The magic of shapes in any room

The main concern of people who have a little house is that they do not have space for tables-- and what type
Table Runners
of tables are you talking about? Of course, rectangle ones. Oh, no. If you have noticed anywhere else, a rectangle table occupies more space and that is something you can't afford right now. So wisely play with the shapes. Shops for home furnishings can help you select furniture that fits the space and room. And regarding the dining table, a square one would play well for you and if it is a transparent one, the better and try not to spoil the table with an un-matching table runners India.

3. Never waste an inch of space

Decorating a small house demands you to be inventive. Make sure that you do not waste any space until you have no space to waste. Most of the times, when decorating, people tend to overlook the space that is available underneath the stairs. It is a perfect place for library. Make sure that you never ignore the vertical space. Making use of the same can draw the eyes up to make the room look expansive way more than it actually is. Make an intelligent choice before going for home decor shopping.

4. Let the room be well lit and choose a complementary color of paint

A well-lit room would look better and bigger than an underlit one. The light with the help of a complementary paint can do wonders for a small room. When you have a small room to decorate make sure that everything you use favors each other to look even. Anything with a dominating color can take more space than it actually does and this will spoil the meaning of entire work.

5. Mirrors and reflections

There is no better way than using reflections to open a small space to infinity. Choosing the size and the place to keep the mirror plays an important role in getting the most of the mirrors. Overdoing the same can kill the very theme and nature of the room. Being subtle and gentle with mirrors is the key to draw the best result.

When it comes to decorating small space, your creativity and the attention to details play vital role.

The keys to choosing a perfect bed sheet to make your sleep better and peaceful

If you can recall the coziest bed you have ever slept in, what is it that made the sleep better? If you think it is the sheet, then we are on the same page with many other people. Sheets play an important role along with a cozy blanket and a comfortable mattress in determining the quality and duration of our sleep as it comes in direct contact with our skin. Following are some of the important factors to keep in mind while trying to order a bed sheets online or buy it from a décor furnishing store.

The material or the fabric

Double Bed Sheets

If you remember or asked to an elderly person about the material that was used to make bedsheets, they would simply say it was only cotton. Cotton remains the most popular and preferred fabric for a bedsheet for most of us. It offers remarkable comfort, durability, and breathability. Moreover, cotton works great for any type of weather you may want to encounter.

Weave of the bedsheet

If your prefer having a little snap with your bedsheet, then going with percale would be great as it is a planer weave than sateen. Neither it is essentially better than the other one is; the choice would be personal. Also choosing a Jersey sheet would be great depending upon the type of people that use them. It would be a poor choice for kids, as the sheet tends to slip and slide on the bed. Always make sure that you have enough reviews to decide upon while you buy bed sheets online India.

Size and fit of the sheets

Have you ever had the experience of wrestling an undersized fitted sheet on a mattress, you would know the importance of buying a correct sized bedsheet. Before making a decision to purchase a bedsheet, make sure that you get the size of your mattress and buy a sheet that is of correct size. Try to get a sheet that has features like elastic edging which will ensure smooth warm fit. If you choose to buy bed sheets online, always check for the exact size and measures.

Thread count

It is the number of threads in 1 square inch of fabric. If you think high

Single Bed Cotton Bed Sheet
thread-count means softer sheets, that is not the case always. Mostly , it depends on the nature and quality of the cotton used. A sheet made of cotton that is naturally softer, like Egyptian Cotton, with a lower thread count would feel softer and silkier than a sheet made of low quality cotton even with higher thread count. To understand this we need to know that the finer counts have higher numbers and the coarser counts have higher numbers. Like a 40s cotton sheet will feel thicker but a 60s or 80s will feel much finer and thinner.

The color and feel

Bedsheet plays an important role in making the bedroom look better and astonishing. The color of the bedsheet can set the mood of the room. It is important that you choose a color that is light and goes well with the color of the walls. The patterns and drawings of the bedsheet attract charm as well and going subtle and easy wins the game here. You do not want to spoil the mood with an ominous pattern and color, do you?

A number of people prefer white or lighter colors to sleep on and are not able to sleep on dark color sheets. Due to this we find most bed sheets come in white with lightly colored prints.

Keeping all these point while purchasing a bedsheet would help you to make a better choice certainly.

At Jodhaa you will find bedsheets in lights as well as in bright prints and in materials that range from sheeting to poplin to finer counts as well.

Guide to Choose the Perfect Pillow...

After a long day, few things match the simple joy of sliding between softsheets, stretching out on a comfortable mattress, and lying your head on a pillow that gently cradles your head and supports your neck in a properly-aligned position as you drift off into blissful sleep. Choosing that pillow, however, can be an exercise in frustration.

There are so many types of bed pillows; you might feel like you need to take
Buy Best Pillows Online in India
a multiple-choice exam just to choose the right one. Do you sleep on your side or back? Do you have allergies? Do you need a specialty pillow? And what about the pillow’s fill? You shouldn’t need a study guide just to go home with the right pillow, but knowing the various options makes it easier to select a pillow that scores an A+ for superior comfort, support and providing a great night’s sleep.

What’s Your Sleep Position?
While everyone shifts throughout the night, most people prefer a certain sleeping position. This is important when choosing the right bed pillow.
  • Side sleeper: If you generally sleep on your side, look for a pillow with firm support, a medium loft (the height of the pillow when laid flat on your bed) and a gusset, or insert, that gives extra support and keeps your neck aligned with your spine.
  • Stomach sleeper: Because sleeping on your stomach requires lying with your head turned sharply to the side, you need a pillow that is fairly flat and soft to avoid straining your neck by lifting your head out of alignment with your spine.
  • Back sleeper: If you usually find yourself sleeping on your back, you’ll want a pillow that holds your head high enough to avoid a back tilt, yet isn’t thick enough to strain your neck. Medium support is best.

How Firm of a Pillow Do You Need?
While your primary sleeping position plays a strong role in determining the
Online Indian Bolsters Pillow
best pillow firmness for your needs, personal preference is also important. Some people love nothing more than sinking into a gentle cloud of pillowy softness, while others prefer a pillow not much softer than the stone pillows used by ancient Egyptians. You probably fall somewhere in between.
  • Soft: Natural feathers, down or a mix of two make the softest, most cushiony pillows. Although there are synthetic substitutes for feathers – perfect for those with allergies – they aren’t quite as soft as the real thing.
  • Medium: Somewhere in the middle of pillow firmness lie the synthetic fills – usually polyester blends. You’ll also find a wide range of alternative pillow fills, including latex, water, buckwheat hulls, microbeads and wool.
  • Firm: If you want it hard, choose a memory foam pillow. These are very supportive and firm, with just enough give for comfort.

Which Size of Pillow do you want?
There are three standard sizes for bed pillows.
  • Standard pillow: 20” x 26” You’ll need one standard pillow for a twin bed,
Buy Designer Pillow Cover Online in India
two for a full or queen, and three for a king-size bed.
  • Queen pillow: 20” x 30” Two of these will fit perfectly across your full or queen bed.
  • King pillow: 20” x 36” You’ll need king-size pillowcases for these large pillows, which fit in pairs across the top of a king bed.
What About Pillow Fills?
There are almost as many types of pillow fills as there are pillows, but no single type is the right choice for everyone. Here are some of the most common fills you’ll encounter:
  • Feathers and down: Super-soft, natural and light as a… well, a feather. If you like to have your head disappear into a cloud of softness, this is what you’ll want. Although there are dander-free down pillows and feather-proof pillowcases available, if you are strongly allergic, this isn’t a good choice for your bed.
  • Polyester: The most common synthetic pillow fill, polyester is non-allergenic, inexpensive and washable. Poly/cotton blends tend to be firmer than pure polyester.
  • Pellets: These tiny little polyester beads are also used to fill beanbags and therapy pillows. They make a very comfortable bed pillow that adjusts to your every move, but can be a bit noisy. If you suffer with neck, shoulder or upper-back pain, these pillows can provide relief.
King Size Pillow Covers in India
  • Memory foam: Developed to protect astronauts during lift-off, memory foam conforms to your body, offers very firm support and is smooth and soft. It’s another good choice for those who have muscle or joint pain in the upper body. On the down side, it is hot, expensive and heavy.
  • Latex: Natural latex is derived from the rubber tree. These pillows are very supportive and dense, but are springier than memory foam, and don’t conform to your body the way foam does. They are a good choice for sleepers with back, neck or shoulder problems, but can initially have a strong odor, are very heavy and often are quite thick.
  • Buckwheat hulls: Very popular in Asia, buckwheat hull pillows feel like beanbags, and adjust to your every move. On the downside, they are heavy, make a crinkly noise, and the hulls tend to crush over time, leading to a flatter, less-supportive pillow.
  • Water: These specialty pillows generally contain an inner core of water, surrounded by a synthetic fill. You can adjust the amount of water inside, thus changing the firmness and loft of the pillow. Water-filled pillows are especially loved by people with neck or shoulder pain, and they are also a good choice for those who prefer a cool pillow. Cons include weight, potential leaks and difficulty in adjusting the amount of water.
Do You Need a Specialty Pillow?
While the majority of pillows sold are the standard rectangles, there are plenty of other shapes to consider. Specialty pillows can have a wide range of fills, though most are polyester or memory foam. Most are specifically designed to help relieve pain or sleep issues.
  • Body pillow: These extra-long pillows are great for pregnant women, fibromyalgia sufferers or anyone else who finds it difficult to get comfortable at night. Body pillows give comfortable support right where you need it, but take up as much space in the bed as another person.
  • Bed wedge: Shaped like a large triangle, you can use a bed wedge to elevate your upper or lower body. These are good for those with reflux, headaches, sinus issues or swollen feet.
  • Butterfly: Shaped like a butterfly or hourglass, these pillows are popular
    Designer Pillow Covers India
with those suffering from shoulder or neck pain.
  • Contour: Though there is no standard definition for contour pillow, generally, these pillows are foam or firm poly fill with a shape reminiscent of a valley between two gently curved mountains. One “mountain” is usually lower than the other, allowing sleepers to choose which side best fits their neck. This is another good pillow for those with neck or back pain, and is often recommended by chiropractors.
  • Cervical: Although there is no standard definition for cervical pillow either, it often refers to a pillow with a center depression – somewhat like a cat bed. These pillows are good for side or back sleepers with neck pain, shoulder pain, snoring or other sleep issues.
  • Roll: As the name suggests, these pillows are shaped like a long roll. They are useful for relieving shoulder and neck strain, and are also good for separating or elevating the knees during sleep, propping up injured extremities or using as a travel pillow.

Whatever type of pillow you choose, it should hold your neck in straight alignment with your spine, offer the amount of support most comfortable for your preferred sleep position and just plain feel good when you use it. Regardless of how much you love your pillow, it’s time to replace it when it loses its shape or support, the fill breaks down into lumps, or the pillow no longer springs back into position when folded in half.

Guide to Buy Beddings Online

Are You Confused By the Variety of Bedding offered by various Online Stores. Don't Worry we will help you. Due to increase in Online Bedding stores its difficult to buy products online. As Online Market is increasing day by day there are conflict in Prices, Quality, Products, Brands in our Mind. We sell Variety of Home Decor Products Online and I will guide you to Buy Bedding Online. This are Some Steps which You should keep in Mind.

  1. Find Out What Size Bedding You Need - Queen and King are the easiest bedding sheet sets you can have, While Full and Californian King are Harder to find. Twin bedding sets are usually made for small children or single-person beds. Some college and summer camp beds are "extra-long," but you might have to special order these.
  2. Think about what theme you want - Would you want a simple stripe, polka dots, or a floral design? If you already have a room, think of its theme and colors-especially of the walls. Remember that the bedding the the first thing people will see when they walk into a bedroom, so it makes a longer impression.
  3. Pay attention for bedding materials - Cotton or cotton blends are usually the best choice. Flannel keeps you warm in the winter, but if you keep your house at 60 degrees or warmer at night, you'll be too hot in flannel sheets. Polyester satin might seem like fun, but it can be tacky and weird.
  4. Pay attention to the weave of the cotton - If You are Buying Cotton
Bedding then you can choose from standard, pinpoint, sateen and satin weaves. Sateen feels nice and is good for guest bedding that is not going to be used daily but it isn't quite as durable as say pinpoint for daily use. Satin looks nice and is good for pillowcases (less wear and tear on your hair) but not for bed sheets as they do not stay on the bed, are slippery and do not breathe or absorb moisture as well as standard and pinpoint weaves. Mostly you will not get this information online. some online sites give this information. If You are buying this from store then you can inquire from Salesman in Store.
  5. Check the "thread count" on the label - Thread count refers to the density of the weave in threads per square inch. The higher the thread count, the more expensive the sheets (because more material, spun more finely, is needed to make them), but higher thread count is also better quality. At minimum the thread count should be 175-200 but for nicer feeling sheets aim for 350. Be careful about sheets that claim high thread counts aas they may be sheets with threads spun together and then woven. The result may be a label that reads "500 thread count" but feels like 250. This Thread Count is also not available on Online Store. But, if you are buying from store then you can inquire from Salesman in Store.
  6. Bedding Comes with - Most Bedding sheet sets come with a fitted
sheet, a top sheet, Cushion Covers and one or two pillowcases.
You'll also need to buy a blanket and/or comforter.
  7. You have a choice between comforters - Ones you have selected covers and ones that don't. Pick a comforter that matches the sheets, the bedroom walls and best suits your bedding wash regimen.
  8. Washing - Last but not the least you should see this also. Some comforters can be washed in home washing machines if the machine is large enough. Some comforters however may require that you to take them to be dry cleaned or to a laundromat (laundromats tend to have a few larger machines for this purpose.) Be patient and follow the care directions. If washing at home or laundromat, don't use harsh detergents and use the extra rinse cycle. When it comes to drying the comforter in the dryer, toss a tennis ball or two into the dryer with the comforter and allow the comforter to take 3-4 hours to dry.

Tips to Clean Your Mattress the Natural Way

Why use strong chemicals or expensive commercial cleaning products on your mattress? While it is very important to keep the space where you spend a third of your life clean and fresh, that doesn’t mean it’s necessary to surround yourself with potentially irritating fragrances, cleaners or other harsh chemicals. Instead, you can use natural methods and simple ingredients you probably already have around the house to freshen and clean your mattress, remove funky stains and leave your sleeping space pleasantly scented and ready for dreamtime.

Your mattress is exposed to the worst of you: sweat, drool, shed skin flakes, hair and skin oil, and various bodily fluids. Add to that the allergens, dust, mites, indoor pollution and pet dander found in most homes, and your mattress is ripe for a cleaning.

GENERAL CLEANING AND ODOR REMOVAL:
  • Strip all the bedding from your mattress, and toss it into the washing machine while you work.
    Online Bed Sheets Store
  • Vacuum the top of your mattress, the sides, and underneath the bed. Now lift the mattress (get someone to help if it’s difficult) and vacuum between the mattress and the box springs.
  • Mix one cup of baking soda with a few drops of essential lavender oil in a bowl, then put the mixture in a strainer.
  • Shake the fragranced baking soda evenly over the entire mattress.
  • Leave the baking soda on the bed until your bedding is finished washing and drying.
  • Vacuum the baking soda off the mattress, and remake your bed with the clean linens.
URINE AND SWEAT:
Bed Covers and Bedwetting happens -- it’s hard to raise kids without at least one or two nighttime accidents. Sweat produces similar yellowish stains, and over time, it’s common for mattresses to become discolored and musty smelling from sweat, especially a mattress used by a teen boy or a woman suffering through hot flashes. If you have a mattress stained by either urine or sweat, use the following method to remove the smell and the stain.
  • Strip the bed completely.
Online Bed Cover Set Store India
  • Mix together one cup of 3% hydrogen peroxide, three tablespoons of baking soda and just a few drops of liquid dishwashing soap. Stir until the baking soda dissolves.
  • Pour the mixture into a spray bottle, and then spray the entire stained area of the mattress, letting the solution soak into the mark.
  • Leave the solution to air dry for at least an hour. If you want to speed things up, set a blowing fan near the mattress, or use your blow dryer on the cool setting.
BLOOD:
It’s an unfortunate – and gross – fact of life that sometimes mattresses get stained with blood. If this happens to yours, treat the stain as quickly as possible.
  • Remove the sheets from the bed, and wash right away.
  • Fill a spray bottle with 3% hydrogen peroxide.
  • Spray the bloodstain, then blot with a clean towel.
  • Repeat spraying and blotting the stain until it is gone.
  • Let the mattress air dry, or use your blow dryer to speed up the process.
VOMIT:
If you have kids, you’re probably familiar with this scenario. Whether it’s from a stomach virus or too many cookies before bedtime, kids all seem to vomit in bed Sheets at one time or another.
  • Remove all the bedding from the bed, and toss the soiled sheets into the wash.
  • Mix a 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar in a spray bottle.
  • Spray the soiled area of the mattress, then blot with a clean towel.
  • Continue spraying and blotting until the mark is gone.
  • Sprinkle a little bit of baking soda over the treated area.
  • After an hour, vacuum away the baking soda, and let the mattress air dry.
